Swadesi Way’s Barley Daliya is a wholesome, coarsely broken barley (Jau) made from naturally grown grains sourced directly from Peepli village, Sikar district, Rajasthan. Carefully stone-ground and unpolished, this Daliya retains its natural fibre, beta-glucan, B vitamins, and essential minerals like selenium and magnesium.
Easy to cook and incredibly versatile, perfect for savoury porridge, khichdi, or even a hearty salad. This Barley Daliya is a nourishing alternative to wheat daliya for anyone seeking a fiber-rich, low-fat, and naturally grown grain in their diet.
Why Choose Barley Daliya?
✅ Vs. Wheat Daliya
Barley Daliya naturally has a higher fibre-to-carb ratio, helping you stay full longer and release energy slowly — great for balanced digestion and steady energy. (Example: Barley can have up to 12–13 g fibre per 100g, compared to regular wheat daliya’s 2–3 g.)
✅ Vs. Market Daliya
Most market daliya is polished to look ultra-white — stripping away nutrients. Swadesi Way’s Barley Daliya stays unpolished and unbleached, preserving its light cream hue, authentic taste, and wholesome fibre.
🚜 Farm to Plate Journey
Your Barley Daliya comes from Ram Singh Ji, a dedicated farmer in Peepli village, Sikar, Rajasthan. The barley is grown using indigenous seeds and traditional chemical-free practices.
After harvesting, the barley is dehulled at the farm and stored carefully. The dehulling process naturally removes the ~60% outer layer. The grains are then stone-ground, naturally separating them into three parts – Daliya, Suji, and Flour with no heat damage. At last, it is sieved manually to remove any remaining coarse particles, ensuring an even, wholesome texture.
All processing is done thoughtfully by the team at Banyan Roots, Udaipur, preserving the wholesome quality of every grain.
